This week’s EBM article was recently published in the NEJM regarding the effectiveness of a novel bradykinin inhibitor, Icatibant, as an adjunct in the treatment of acute angioedema. The study highlights how little we know about the optimal treatment for this multifactorial condition. I’m also attaching the EBmedicine guidance on Angioedema. It discusses additional adjuncts such as FFP and C1-INH.
